Tennis matches can be tough — two hours of sprints, stops and swings in summer heat. Incorporate endurance training into your routine and the third set starts feeling like the first.
Train intervals, not miles
A tennis point averages under ten seconds, followed by twenty seconds of rest. Mirror it: 15 seconds of hard shuttle runs, 25 seconds walking, repeated twelve times. Two sessions a week transforms your recovery between points within a month.
Footwork is fitness
Tired players don’t slow down everywhere — they stop split-stepping. Ten minutes of ladder and cone work before every hit keeps your feet alive when your lungs are burning, and efficient feet cost far less energy than late ones.
Recover like it matters
Endurance is built between sessions: water with electrolytes during play, protein and carbs within the hour after, and genuine sleep. Our reset lounge and ice baths exist precisely for this part.
Join a cardio tennis class — Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6:30am, all levels welcome, music always on.
